Snow Report & Weather Forecast
Leysin Ski Resort is set in Switzerland at the foot of the Tour d’Aï. You can visit the old village by taking the funicular railway down the mountainside a short way. The actual ski resort is fairly modern and, though it’s nothing remarkably special, it’s location on a sunlit ‘terrace’ is one of the greatest assets of the Alpes Vaudoises.
Ski
Leysin is ideal for both skiers and snowboarders. It has in total 17 lifts, a snowpark complete with a halfpipe, ski tours and snow shoe walks to name but a few opportunities for the winter sport enthusiast. But don’t be put off if you are planning your first winter break, or a family holiday - the resort caters for all ski levels and it has also been awarded the “Families Welcome” quality certificate so you’re guaranteed a great holiday regardless!
Activities
Leysin is home to a revolving restaurant which turns a full 360° in 90 minutes, allowing diners to take in the glorious views of the Rhone Valley, Lake Geneva, Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and the Eiger. There are around 8 bars in Leysin all of which offer a young, vibrant atmosphere for Après Ski. One of the more popular venues for Après Ski is the Cable Bar which provides snacks, barbeque and if requested, Paella, as well as plenty of live music! Get down to the Lynx and Le Seven bars for a great night out with plenty of music from the current European music charts!
